Do you know what I love more than anything?
Helping business owners achieve success.
To me, there’s nothing more satisfying than seeing someone grow their business beyond what they ever thought it would.
I like to be a part of that process in any way I can.
The Power of Online Quizzes
I remember when I started my first blog, I had NO CLUE what I was doing.
But, one of the first three posts I wrote included a simple lead-generating quiz I created using Interact.
It’s a quiz that has generated 1,785+ leads organically since it went live.
It also converts cold traffic at over 30%.
So, if you haven’t considered using online quizzes as part of your marketing strategy, let me enlighten you!
People Love Sharing Quizzes on Social Media
I’m sure you’ve gone through a handful of Buzzfeed quizzes before.
They’re addictive!
And, for good reason…
Quizzes help us learn more about who we are and the results justify our experience.
Woah…
Totally meta. I know.
People enjoy taking quizzes because they get to be a part of the results. That sense of self-actualization makes people want to share their results.
I’ve definitely done it before, no matter how insignificant the quiz’s subject was.
The one thing I’ve learned from creating quizzes is that they perform really well on social media.
If you have a more serious quiz, you might not get it organically circulating unless you pay for ads, but the goldmine for quizzes is Pinterest. My quiz always performs well there!
For example, my “What is Your True Career Destiny?” quiz ranks toward the top of Pinterest for these keywords:
- Career Destiny
- Career Exploration
- Career Goals
I haven’t pinned it in over a year and it still performs well.
Why?
People engage with your quiz and that signals to Pinterest that it’s a valuable resource to continue ranking.
The Basic Quiz-Building Blocks
From my experience with quizzes, there are a few things you want to do:
- Include an attention-grabbing quiz title/headline
- Keep the quiz to 7-10 questions tops
- Personalize the results page to each quiz result and send targeted information via email afterward
- Use your signature copywriting voice to personalize the questions
- Select the right kind of quiz for your objective
Those are the essentials!
